Voice Mail Outdated

There was a time when I thought it had purpose but not anymore. Not with caller id.
What I find interesting is most younger people do not even leave voice mail for the simple reason that it takes too long. To leave and receive.
Text messaging has taken over voice mail in my life almost 100%.
I think my new years resolution this year will be to completely abandon voice mail. Either send me a text or email. I can process both 100 times quicker than a voice mail.
No real point here other than the obvious…

I did away with VM at home and at my office two yars ago. I just wish I could shut it off on my cell phone. VM infuriates me - people ramble on, and on, and on. And usually, they call me again, or IM me long before I ever suffer through their long and bring VM!
